Krubburinn is a two-day ideas workshop for everyone, to be held in H\u00fasav\u00edk on 20-21 March 2026.<\/strong>

The workshop will work on ideas for solutions related to us in H\u00fasav\u00edk, and companies and organisations in the area will present challenges.<\/span>Speakers will also inform us about methods used in the development and presentation of innovative ideas.<\/span><\/p>

The Ideas Factory is for all interested people aged 16 and over.<\/span><\/p>

Generous prizes are on offer for the best ideas.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What is Krubbur?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The idea sprint takes its name from Krubbi and the so-called Krubbsve\u00f0ur, a storm that forms in a certain wind direction in H\u00fasav\u00edk. The storm is so severe that people stay indoors while it rages. We hope to spark a real Krubb storm in the minds of the participants during the race!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Idea sprint<\/span> is a powerful learning experience that promotes innovation and creativity in a variety of ways:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>

1. Solving problems under pressure<\/span><\/h3>

  • Idea sprint teaches you to think fast and develop solutions in a limited time.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • You learn to prioritise ideas, reject the unrealistic and improve them quickly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    2. Thinking outside the box<\/span><\/h3>

    • As there are no rigid frameworks, you have the opportunity to try unconventional solutions.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Restrictions encourage creative, solution-oriented thinking, as one works with limited resources and time.<\/span>

      3. Interdisciplinary collaboration<\/span><\/h3>

      • You work with people from different disciplines, which provides a fresh perspective on the subject.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

        4. Rapid prototyping and prototyping<\/span><\/h3>

                Mentors and coaches at Krubbn play a key role in supporting participants and ensuring they get the most out of the event. They come from various disciplines, such as Administration, innovation, design, project management and business, and share their experience and knowledge.

                The main roles of the mentors are:<\/strong><\/p>

                1. Guidance and advice \u2013 Mentors provide advice on technical solutions, help with ideation, and guide teams on how best to implement their solutions.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

                2. Encouragement and support \u2013 They support participants when they face challenges, encourage them to carry on, and help them to see things from a new perspective.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

                3. Sharing experience \u2013 By sharing their own knowledge and experience, mentors can provide valuable insights into how to work with real-world problems and how companies or organisations approach similar projects.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

                4. Presentation support \u2013 When it comes to presenting their ideas to the judging panel, mentors can provide advice on how to structure and deliver an effective presentation.<\/span>

                  Mentors are therefore an invaluable resource for participants and can have a huge impact on how much they learn and how they develop their ideas.
